Working on a background for a short animation. I drew the whole scene on paper, scanned it and brushed it in photoshop and applied photo’s on the background for clouds and stars.

Midnight sketch, thinking about concept class related stuff. Theme of the project will revolve around the day of the dead festival.
A very cool project at school! We had to fill up the rest of the wall and this is the result. You can find more photo’s on the blog of wdka illustration. The dragon-monster is my part of the project. I am pleased with the results. Photo’s are taken with a Sony nex-5 (shot in ‘Picture Effect, High Contrast Monochrome’ mode) and re-sized in photoshop

We had to make a Pencil sharpener. I could add any context I wanted so I decided to make a Indiana Jones version.
It has been a while since I customized a clock. This is the result.
Twice a year our school has a day when they open their doors for non-students in the hope to get people sign in for next year. As third year illustration students we are responsible to represent the illustration department and we must decorate a classroom. Together we decided we want to create a living room with all kinds of furniture and decoration filled with illustration. All are combined under one theme; deadline stress. A common good for illustrators. Working long past bed time when the deadline is coming closer. For that reason I choose an owl, watching over time during the night. It also fits our color pallet for the entire room which concludes reds and brown colors.

We had to make a (fictional) A2 size Poster for a club called the ‘Horse of Troy’ which is located in Den Hague. The theme of the party is ‘freedom’, the feeling when you get when it’s friday. The blue version is my latest version and revised version of the neon colored one.
